pfsense Watchguard x700 LCD Screen Working

Just thought i would share how to get the LCD to work on your Watchguard x500, x700, x1000 when you have pfsense installed

Firstly Download this file

Download!

Then go to Command Prompt in the pfsense WebGUI (Diagnostics -> Command Prompt) then find the Upload Section and upload the lcdd4.tar file you downloaded. This should upload to /tmp/lcdd4.tar.

Right now you will need to enable SSH. The link below will help you to do this

http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/HOWTO_enable_SSH_access

Next download your SSH client that you use i use PuTTY

Then connect to your LAN IP (192.168.1.1) if you haven’t changed it. When you get to the login screen login with your credentials hat you use to login with the WebGUI You will then need to open a Shell by pressing 8

Now you need to get to the /tmp folder and then extract the lcdd4.tar file then install it. So to do all of this follow below

[2.0.1-RELEASE][admin@pfSense.localdomain]/root(1): cd /tmp
[2.0.1-RELEASE][admin@pfSense.localdomain]/tmp(2): tar -xvf lcdd4.tar
x ./
x ./lcdd/
x ./install-embed2.lcdd.sh
x ./lcdd/drivers/
x ./lcdd/LCDd.conf
x ./lcdd/lcdd.sh
x ./lcdd/lcdproc
x ./lcdd/LCDd
x ./lcdd/drivers/curses.so
x ./lcdd/drivers/sdeclcd.so
[2.0.1-RELEASE][admin@pfSense.localdomain]/tmp(3): ./install-embed2.lcdd.sh
[2.0.1-RELEASE][admin@pfSense.localdomain]/tmp(4): /usr/local/etc/rc.d/lcdd.sh

Your LCD should now be on and you should be able to change the screen by pressing the buttons

Thanks to Stephen10w for this great script!
